Spring Moves Raises $1M in Seed Funding

Spring Moves, a NYC-based provider of a personalized workout radio app, raised $1m in seed funding.

Backers included Fredrik Nylander, Shane Naughton and Sebastian Knutsson, and additional undisclosed investors.

The company intends to use the funds to focus on growth initiatives such as marketing and hiring and R&D.

Led by Mattias Stanghed, Founder, Spring Moves provides a personalized workout radio app that matches cadence to a musical beat in order to create a musically-paced workout program focusing on elements such as tempo (beats per minute), mood, and beat intensity.
In order to use the app, users specify their athletic activity – running, swimming, biking, rowing, interval training, walking or other – and do a 30 second rhythm analysis to set the ideal cadence for their workout.
