Preventicus GmbH, a Jena, Germany-based developer of smartphone-driven solutions to capture and analyze patients’ vital parameters, raised a seed funding round of undisclosed amount.
Backers included venture capital firms High-Tech Gründerfonds and Born2Grow.
The company intends to use the funds to develop the products.
Founded in May 2014 by Dr. Thomas Hübner, managing director, Preventicus develops smartphone-driven solutions to capture and analyze patients’ vital parameters, for early preclinical risk screening of lifestyle-related illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes or burn-out syndromes. The products will be marketed through a web portal and diagnostic apps which record pulse curves with cameras and flashes and applying biosignal analysis methods, among others, to pulse wave analysis and heart rate variability.
