Monsieur Raises $2M in Seed Funding

monsieurMonsieur, an Atlanta, GA-based robotic bartender, raised $2m in seed funding.

The round was led by BIP Capital with participation from Base Ventures, Paul Judge, TechSquare Labs, NFL player Derrick Morgan, NBA player Glen Davis, Adam Ghetti, Guy Primus, and Mike Ross. In conjunction with the funding, Jamie Hamilton, a partner at BIP Capital, joined Monsieur’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to to accelerate product development and add resources in engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.

Led by Barry Givens, co-founder and CEO, Monsieur has developed a cocktail ordering, preparation and service system that enables users to enjoy cocktails in seconds, and tabulates detailed data on the businesses alcoholic beverage operations. The platform has three components: a machine which dispenses beverages, a mobile application available on Android and iOS, and a web based application used to manage and monitor machines remotely.
