MinuteKEY Raises $30M in Funding

minutekeyMinuteKEY, a Boulder, Colorado-based maker of a self-service kiosk for duplicating keys, raised $30m in funding.

Main Street Capital Corp. made the investment.

The company, which has raised over $81m to date, intends to use the funds to accelerate kiosk expansion at high-traffic retail locations in the United States and Canada, and for continued innovation.

Founded in 2008 by CEO Randy Fagundo, minuteKEY allows consumers to duplicate keys using the touchscreen, inserting the key for duplication, then selecting the style and number of keys they need. Upon making their payment, new keys are cut in approximately 60 seconds.
