KweekWeek, a London, UK-based event discovery, ticketing and management startup, raised $3.25m in seed funding.
Backers included a number of private angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to continue the development of the KweekWeek product, to grow the company’s technology and sales teams and to initiate its expansion into new markets with a launch in New York & a few European cities planned for the end of the year.
Founded in 2012 by Mehdi Nayebi, CEO, KweekWeek is a holistic events platform that connects event organizers and consumers in a space comprising promotion, ticketing, updates and recommendations.
It lets organisers of events to create free customizable landing pages for upcoming events, open and manage ticket sales through a real-time dashboard, create a calendar of repeat events. The platform also offers event attendees a way to keep track of events they are interested in.
Since launch in late 2012, more than 150,000 tickets have been sold through the platform.
