Fountain, a San Francisco, CA-based app that provides consumers real-time help from trusted home & garden experts, raised $4.0m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Shasta Ventures with participation from First Round Capital.
The company will use the funds to expand operations.
Co-founded by Aaron Patzer, CEO, and Jean Sini, CTO, Fountain is a mobile app (iOS only for now) that connects users to an expert over video chat. It allows them to ask a question in plain English, Fountain’s algorithms understand both the question and the skills needed to answer it, and match users with the right expert on the spot, via audio, video, text, photo sharing, screen sharing and white-boarding.
