Footmarks, a Seattle, WA-based provider of beacon-based proximity services, completed a $1.85m seed funding round.
The round was led by Shawn Englund, Founder and former CEO of Learn Live Technologies, who also joined the Footmarks team as President of Sales and Operations.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate platform functionality and scalability, grow their team, and drive sales and business development.
Led by Todd Paris, President, Footmarks provides Footmarks SmartConnect™, an experience-based analytics platform which aims to bring creative experiences and digital intelligence to physical spaces. It includes Bluetooth low energy (BLE) beacons, a cross-platform SDK suite, and a complete cloud-based service offering.
The company graduated from the first class of the competitive R/GA + Techstars Connected Devices Accelerator in March. It has already established partnerships and direct relationships across North America, as well as Europe and Asia.
