Digital Reasoning Raises $24M in Series C Funding

digital-reasoningDigital Reasoning, a Nashville, Tennessee-based provider of a cognitive computing platform, raised $24m in Series C funding.

The round was led by Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse NEXT Investors, LLC, a fund managed within Credit Suisse Asset Management, with participation from previous investors the Partnership Fund for New York City, Tennessee Angel Fund, NCN Angel Fund II, and investors affiliated with Nashville Capital Network. In conjunction with the funding, Tom Jessop, Managing Director, Principal Strategic Investments at Goldman Sachs, joined Digital Reasoning’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop its product roadmap, and expand its sales and strategic partnership efforts both in North America and in Europe.

Led by Tim Estes, Chairman and CEO, and Rob Metcalf, President and COO, Digital Reasoning provides a machine learning platform, called Synthesys, which analyzes human language data at scale surge across all sectors with applications ranging from fraud, risk management, compliance and security to customer intelligence, supply chain intelligence and market research.

The company has offices in Washington, D.C., and New York.
