Bracket Computing Raises $85M in Funding

logo_bracketBracket Computing, Inc., a Sunnyvale, California-based provider of software for running applications on multiple clouds, raised more than $85m in funding.

Backers included Andreessen Horowitz, Norwest Venture Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, ARTIS Ventures, Allegis Capital, GE and Qualcomm.

Led by Tom Gillis, CEO and co-founder, and Jason Lango, CTO and co-founder, Bracket has just unveiled its Bracket Computing Cell, an enterprise infrastructure service that comprises security, storage, compute and networking in a fully encrypted software system spanning multiple hyperscale clouds to allow customers to dynamically adjust service levels.
Computing Cell leverages patented virtualization technology, which creates a lightweight virtualization layer that allows it to span multiple public clouds.
