Jukedeck, a London, UK-based developer of software that can write music, raised £500k in funding.
Backers included Cambridge Enterprise (£400k), the commercialization arm of the University of Cambridge, and the University EIS Fund managed by Parkwalk Advisors, and Cambridge Innovation Capital (£100k).
The company intends to use the funds to grow operations.
A spin-out from University of Cambridge, Jukedeck is developing software that allows users to generate their own original music for videos, online games and many other applications where real-time, responsive music is desired without copyright limitations.
It is led by musician Ed Rex.
