Formation Data Systems Raises $24.2M in Series A Funding

The round was led by Pelion Venture Partners with participation from Dell Ventures, Third Point, Mayfield Fund and Square 1 Bank.

Mark Lewis, Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder, Formation Data Systems develops a Converged Data Platform for Enterprise IT, SaaS applications and service providers that have Enterprise data requirements. The solution provides data virtualization combining the cost benefits of public cloud approaches combined with control, security and customization capabilities of private data center storage.
