Favor, an Austin-based provider of an app to receive/deliver food, raised $2m in seed funding.
Backers included Tim Draper and Silverton Partners, among others.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand nationwide.
Led by CEO Ben Doherty and CMO Zachary Maurais, Favor allows users to get products delivered from local stores or restaurants. Proprietary algorithms forecast supply and demand, prevent delivery errors and dispatch deliveries to the best available assistant, taking into account variables such as food preparation time and different types of deliveries.
Currently present in Austin and Boston, Favor focuses on food and an average delivery time of 35 minutes.
