Baremetrics, a Birmingham, Alabama-based provider of analytics on Stripe data, raised $500,000 from General Catalyst.
The investment was made via the newly launched GC Stripe Platform Fund (read here).
The company is using the funds to expand its marketing efforts and to hire new people (read here).
Led by Josh Pigford, Baremetrics provides an analytics platform on Stripe data for software-as-a-service businesses, including dozens of real-time metrics on monthly recurring revenue, lifetime value, run rate and churn, which are essential for SaaS businesses to have a constant window into their performance.
