Windsor Circle Raises $5.25M in Series B Financing

windsor_circleWindsor Circle, a Durham, NC-based customer retention software company, raised $5.25m in Series B financing.

The round was led by Comcast Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of Comcast Corporation, with participation from existing investors IDEA Fund Partners and Triangle Angel Partners (TAP) and Steve Case, AOL founder and active investor, who added $100k of funding to the round.

The company intends to use the funds to extend its retention automation technology, expand into new channels and verticals, and grow both team and marketing efforts.

Led by Windsor Circle CEO Matt Williamson, Windsor Circle provides customer retention software that helps online retailers keep existing customers through data-driven, personalized and automated lifecycle marketing programs, by 1) Connecting e-commerce platforms, email marketing software, and other data sources; 2) Analyzing customer purchase history and behavior; and 3) Automating customer loyalty, cart recovery, product recommendation, and other campaigns.
Clients include Bonobos, Case-Mate, CafePress Services, Gaiam, SurfStitch, and Spangler Candy, among others.
