Wildcard Raises $7M in Series A Funding

wildcard-logoWildcard, a NYC-based startup that is developing cards to replace the Internet on mobile phones, raised $7m in Series A funding.

According to reports, backers included General Catalyst Partners, Softbank, Lerer Ventures, Box Group and Gary Vaynerchuk.

Led by CEO Jordan Cooper, Wildcard features a library of cards for users to improve the online experience on mobile. Wildcard’s solution allows users to turn existing content—products, media, etc. into cards to be shared into card platforms like Twitter, Pinterest, and Wildcard’s iOS app.
Its web-based management tool lets users register and preview new cards, track analytics and make changes that are reflected instantly across all platforms.

The company is hiring.
