Hightower Raises $6.5M in Series A Financing

hightowerHightower, a New York, NY-based online platform for the commercial leasing industry, raised $6.5m in Series A financing.

The round was led by existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and Thrive Capital with participation from previous investors RRE Ventures, Red Swan Ventures, David Tisch, Lee Linden and Brandon Shorenstein.

Led by CEO and cofounder Brandon Weber, Hightower provides cloud and mobile technology that allows commercial real estate owners to access a view of their leasing businesses. Owners can manage their deal pipelines, existing tenants, and marketing efforts. The smartphone application allows them to track prospects and negotiations, access deal files, and market available space.
Customers include over 40 commercial landlords, institutional investors and brokers from the major firms, including CBRE, Jones Lang LaSalle, Cushman Wakefield, Colliers, and Cassidy Turley.

Founded in the spring of 2013, the company now employs 17 people and raised $2.1m in a seed round in December of the same year.
