Enlighted Secures $20M Series D Funding Round

Enlighted, a Sunnyvale, CA-based provider of a smart sensor network and lighting control platform for the Internet of Things (IoT) to the workplace, secured $20m in a Series D funding round.

Backers included current investors Draper Nexus Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, RockPort Capital Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Intel Capital.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop advanced workplace applications.

Led by Joe Costello, chairman and chief executive officer, Enlighted provides a lighting sensor product that saves energy in commercial environments and increases comfort of occupants by adapting to individual and ambient lighting conditions. The system securely and anonymously collects data onto the platform, to report on occupancy, environment and activity within a space. The evolving platform will soon add HVAC, security and other applications to the current lighting sensor functionality.
Its advanced sensor network and lighting control system is currently deployed in 45 million square feet of office space across customers such as LinkedIn, Google, AT&T, Barclays and Genentech.
