Bitglass Secures $25M in Series B Funding

Bitglass_LogoBitglass, a Campbell, Calif. provider of a data protection platform for the enterprise, secured $25m in Series B funding.

New investors include a global bank and SingTel Innov8, the venture investing arm of SingTel Group, the Asian communications group with over 500 million mobile customers. Existing investors New Enterprise Associates and Norwest Venture Partners participated in the round. In conjunction with the funding, Scott Sandell, general partner and head of NEA’s technology investing practice, will join Bitglass’ board of directors.

The company, which has now raised $35m to date, intends to use the funds to expand sales, marketing and technology development of its solution.

Founded in 2013 and led by Nat Kausik, CEO, Bitglass provides a Total Data Protection solution that enables customers in every major vertical, including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and transportation to secure BYOD and cloud applications such as Google Apps, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and Box.
