Twitter (TWTR) has acquired TapCommerce, a NYC-based mobile retargeting platform.
According to reports, the transaction could amount to $100m (read here).
Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Eniac Ventures, Metamorphic Ventures, Nextview Ventures, and RRE Ventures and led by CEO Brian Long, TapCommerce provides brands with a mobile retargeting platform which now processes over 15 billion targeted ad impression bids each day, across 50,000 apps worldwide. Already integrated with MoPub, Twitter’s mobile-focused RTB ad exchange, TapCommerce will allow the social network giant to expand its mobile advertising stack.
The company’s team will focus on developing the product and expanding its services.
