Supersonic, formerly SupersonicAds, a San Bruno, CA in-app monetization and user acquisition platform, closed a USD$15M Series B financing.
The round was led by new investor SAIF Partners, a Chinese venture capital firm, and existing investor Greylock Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Ben Ng, Partner with SAIF, will be joining Supersonic’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to further its growth and expand its operations in the APAC region. It aims to hire an additional 100 employees bringing the total to 250 people worldwide.
Led by Gil Shoham, Co-Founder and CEO, Supersonic provides a mobile advertising technology platform. Its cloud-based SDK allows developers across the globe to serve video and native ads. The company employs machine learning models for Real-Time-Bidding, Supply Auctioning, device level targeting and Lifetime-Value prediction.
The company, which has a global presence in the US, Europe and Asia, is to open new offices in Beijing, Tokyo and Bangalore by the close of the 3rd quarter 2014.
