Pokkt Raises $2.5M in Series A Funding

Pokkt, a Mumbai, India-based alternate mobile monetization platform, raised $2.5m in Series A funding.

Backers included Jafco Asia, SingTel Innov8, Jungle Ventures, and Ganesh Krishnan.

The company intends to use the funds to expand into Southeast Asia, mainly in Indonesia and Thailand.

Founded by Rohit Sharma, CEO, Vaibhav Odhekar, COO, and Sharad Ingule, CTO, Pokkt provides a mobile monetization platform that allows owners of Paid Digital Goods and Services (music, games, videos, software, Mobile recharge etc.) to monetize their users through an advertiser-funded model.
For advertisers, the company provides multiple engagement tools via proprietary transactional advertising technology.
