Intent Media, a New York-based provider of intelligent advertising solutions for travel firms, raised $22.7m in Series C financing.
The round was led by Insight Venture Partners with participation from previous backers Matrix Partners and Redpoint Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Bradley Twohig of Insight Venture Partners joined Intent Media’s board.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate global expansion, expand the team with engineers and data scientists, grow adoption of new products such as its recently launched Property Price Ads, which creates a consumer-friendly metasearch shopping experience on retail travel sites, and extend beyond the travel industry with partners in other e-commerce categories.
Led by Richard Harris, CEO, Intent Media provides online travel companies with data-driven advertising products that make travel shopping easier for consumers. The company powers advertising on leading travel brands including Orbitz, CheapTickets, Expedia, Hotwire, Travelocity, ebookers.com, lastminute.com, Hotel Club, Travelport, and Hipmunk while thousands of travel companies advertise through Intent Media, including online travel agencies, airlines, hotels, and metasearch companies.
