GetYou Raises $1.1M in Seed Funding

getyouGetYou, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based social feedback platform that enables users to discover how strangers and friends perceive them, raised $1.1m in seed funding.

Backers included venture capital firm RDSeed and angel investors including Wix founder Avishai Abrahami.

Founded in 2013 by CEO Dr. Orit Mossinson, GetYou is a mobile social feedback platform that enables users to discover how people around the world perceive them and their characteristics at first glance.
The first application is a mobile game that uses semi-anonymous feedback mechanisms to bridge first impression gaps. The app presents a member’s picture, upon which a user answers a series of fun questions, such as, “How old do you think he is?” or “Do you think she is a DJ or brain surgeon?” Results are then analyzed and presented, allowing the displayed member to discover people’s perceptions of his or her personality traits, occupation, age and other criteria.
Users can decide to friend others who judged them. Simultaneously, those who judged and were inaccurate receive an intuition score and are presented with the true information, in many cases breaking down stereotypes and preconceptions.

The platform is available in beta on iOS and Android.
The company has 11 employees.
