Expect Labs Closes Strategic investment with In-Q-Tel

Expect Labs, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a platform to build voice-driven interfaces for any app, device or website, closed a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. Through this partnership, Expect Labs will apply its MindMeld API to voice-enable a wide range of potential applications for use across U.S. government agencies.

Led by Tim Tuttle, Chief Executive Officer and founder, Expect Labs has created the MindMeld API, a developer platform that allows any company to build intelligent, voice-driven interfaces for any app, device or website.
The platform is available at developer.expectlabs.com. Any developer or company can sign up and get started for free.
Expect Labs’ backers include Google, Samsung, Intel, Telefonica, IDG, and several angel and venture investors.
