Atheer, a Mountain View, CA-based developer of gesture-controlled, immersive 3D wearable computing platforms, received an investment from Lab IX, a dynamic hardware startup program part of Flextronics.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company will use the funds to complete designing and building its augmented reality technology.
Led by Soulaiman Itani, founder, Atheer is dedicated to creating augmented reality technology to enhance the human experience. It recently announced three new patents for wearable optics technologies and security as well as two new hires to its team including Mario Kosmikas, Vice President of Software Engineering and Alan Shen, Chief Designer.
Investors in the company include Bobby Yazdani, Co-Founder of Saba Software and Farzad Naimi, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, RONA Holdings.
