Applitools Secures $2.5M in Series A Funding

applitoolsApplitools, a Tel-Aviv, Israel-based provider of a cloud based platform for automated visual testing of web and mobile applications, secured $2.5M in Series A funding.

Magma Venture Partners made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to funds to strengthen its marketing efforts, and enhance the platform.

Led by Gil Sever, CEO and Co-Founder, Applitools enables users to automate tests that can only be done manually without it. It validates that an app looks right and works well on multiple browsers, devices, and form-factors, and this enables fully automated Continuous Deployment process.
Launched in Nov 2013, the platform has had over 1,500 users who have performed over 750,000 visual tests. Customers include large enterprises, SMBs and startups.
