Activehours Raises $4.1M in Seed Financing

Activehours_LogoActivehours, a Palo Alto, CA-based provider of a mobile app that gives hourly workers immediate access to their earned wages, raised $4.1m in seed financing.

The round was led by Ribbit Capital and early stage venture firm Felicis Ventures.

Led by Ram Palaniappan, founder, Activehours provides a mobile app for hourly workers to access their unpaid wages from their smartphones.

The app allows users to track the number of hours they have worked to tap into their unpaid wages before the money hits their bank account on payday. Launched to the public in May, the service is now used by employees from over 250 employers, from large retailers to top banks, universities and hospitals.
