Barcelona, Spain-based vc firm Active Venture Partners has announced the appointment of two new team members.
Sebastian Blum joined as Partner while Georg Stockinger joined as Venture Advisor.
Blum was VP of Business Development at California-based photo viewing app developer Cooliris, held senior positions at T-Venture, the VC arm of Deutsche Telekom, and most recently was the Managing Director of its San Francisco office. He will expand ACTIVE’s representation in Berlin and other German speaking startup hubs.
Georg Stockinger was Managing Director at Rocket Internet LatAm and was part of the founding team of the German e-commerce startup Casacanda.
Founded in 2004 by Christopher Pommerening, Avtive Venture Partners has invested in 23 companies in two funds totalling €74m. With a presence in Spain, Germany and Scandinavia, the firm also operates the Venturepreneurs’ Organisation, which promotes relationships between serial entrepreneurs investing in early stage companies.
