TrendKite, an Austin, Texas-based provider of a platform that quantifies the impact of PR for brands and their agencies, raised $3.2M in Series A funding.
The round was led by Mercury Fund and Silverton Partners.
The company, which has now raised $4.4m, intends to use the funds to hire new people, invest in big-data processing infrastructure and expand the sales team.
Led by newly appointed CEO Erik Huddleston, TrendKite leverages big data analytics to improve real-time detection of brand relevant news, quantifies how it impacts the brand, their competitors, and the industry, and enables reporting. Customers include BP, Campbell’s Soup, H&R Block, Added Value (WPP), among others.
