ThoughtSpot, a Redwood City, CA-based provider of search-based business intelligence, raised $30m in a Series B funding.
The round was led by Khosla Ventures with participation from existing investor Lightspeed Venture Partners and Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. In conjunction with the funding, Keith Rabois, partner, Khosla Ventures, will join the board of directors.
The company intends to use the funds to build its team (http://www.thoughtspot.com/careers) and bring a “Google-like” experience to the $14B business intelligence market.
Led by Ajeet Singh, co-founder and CEO, and Amit Prakash, co-founder and CTO, ThoughtSpot provides a plug-and-play solution (Data Search Appliance) that gives access to a search-based user experience for business data access and analysis.
