SeedInvest Raises Additional $2.15M in Series A Financing

SeedInvestLogoSeedInvest, a NYC-based equity-based crowdfunding platform, raised an additional $2.15m to complete a $4.15m Series A financing round.

The round was advertised publicly through general solicitation and was oversubscribed. The first $2m came from prominent venture capital firms including Scout Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Avenue A Ventures, Archer Gray and Krillion Ventures (as we reported here).
The company then closed $2.15m from forty-two angel investors through its platform.

Led by Ryan Feit, CEO and Co-Founder, SeedInvest connects investors with vetted startup investment opportunities.
In the past three months, companies have raised over $6m through the platform:
– Virtuix, creator of the Omni virtual reality treadmill which pairs with the Oculus Rift, raised $1.6m of online commitments;
– Vengo, provider of mini vending machines, raised $720k of its $2m round from a combination of venture funds, family offices and individual angel investors;
– Knightscope, creators of a real life version of Robocop, used the SeedInvest platform to close its $1.5m seed round.
