NuoDB, Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based provider of webscale distributed database technology, received an investment from Roger Sippl, founding CEO of Informix.
The amount of the investment is undisclosed.
Roger Sippl, who co-founded relational database company Informix Corporation in 1980, and The Vantive Corporation and Visigenic Software later, will help NuoDB to improve the product.
Led by Barry Morris, CEO and Co-Founder, the company delivers a webscale distributed database management system that is specifically designed for the cloud and the modern datacenter.
Customers include AutoZone, Zombie Studios and other innovative organizations.
