Lima Raises $2.5M Series A Financing

logo-limaLima, a Newark-DE-based developer of a platform that enables users to see the same files on all of the devices regardless of operating system or device size, raised $2.5m in Series A financing.

Backers included Partech Ventures.

The company intends to use to expand its engineering, marketing, sales and distribution efforts and to grow across North America, Europe and Asia.

Led by Severin Marcombes, co-founder and CEO, Lima is composed of a hardware adapter and a multi-platform app to handle files through Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS and Android operating systems, enabling users to open any device and get all their files on it.

The company successfully launched a Kickstarter campaign last year and reached its initial funding goal in less than 12 hours, raising $1.2m (read here) from nearly 13,000 people.
