Infrascale, an El Segundo, California-based provider of a cloud data protection solutions, received $16.3m in its Series B round of funding.
The round was led by new investor Carrick Capital Partners. Marc McMorris, co-founder and managing director of Carrick Capital Partners, will join Infrascale’s board, and Steve Unterberger, CTO of Carrick Capital Partners, will serve as a board observer. They joined existing angel investors Dan Gregerson and Randy Smerik.
The company intends to use the funds to grow, accelerate its go-to-market strategy and expand its product line through the strategic acquisition of Eversync Solutions, which expands the company’s data protection offering by extending compatibility to include the most widely used operating systems.
Led by Ken Shaw Jr., founder and CEO, Infrascale has built a cloud-native platform that provides delivers backup, disaster recovery, archive and collaboration .
The solution powers over 1,000 independent cloud service companies, VARs and MSPs.
