Glympse Raises $12M in Series C Financing

glympseGlympse, a South Lake Union, Seattle, WA-based location sharing technology company, raised $12m in Series C financing.

Backers included new investors UMC CapitalVerizon Ventures and additional unnamed strategic investors as well as existing investors Ignition PartnersMenlo Ventures and Naya Ventures.

The company, which has now raised about $20m in total, will use the capital to grow its team and further invest in products and extend into new verticals with new partnerships.

Led by Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO, Glympse provides a real-time, temporary location sharing platform to integrate location sharing into everyday activities, meetings and events. The company has already partnered with several companies, including Samsung, Mercedes, BMW, Garmin, NAVIGON, Verizon, Blackberry, General Motors, Volvo, Jaguar Land Rover, Gogo Inflight and Ford, which have integrated its brand and enterprise platform into their own products and applications.
