Executive Employers, a New York City-based recruiting firm for high-level executives to find jobs, raised $6.5m in vc funding.
The round was led by Agile Capital Partners (ACP), with participation from a number of undisclosed angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations (hiring people and extend its network of recruiters, executives and employers) and boost its worth to around $50m.
Founded in 2012 and launched to the public in 2014, Executive Employers specializes in providing a wide range of employment services to individuals, corporations and nonprofits. In addition to positioning members within Fortune 500 companies to fill their leadership positions, they also facilitate the placement of individuals to advisory boards and board of director positions using a competitive process in which multiple recruiters from across their extensive network compete against one another to find executives the most suitable match for their skill set and experience.
The company currently has more than 4,000 recruiters and more than 50,000 senior executives in its network and employs 30 people.
