CoPatient, a Portland, Oregon-based consumers’ trusted healthcare spending advisor, completed a $3.6m round of Series A financing.
The round was led by .406 Ventures with participation from returning investors Jonathan Bush, CEO of athenahealth, and Cambia Health Solutions.
The company intends to use the funds to grow operations.
Led by Katie Vahle and and Rebecca Palm, CoPatient offers a free medical bill review to enable consumers to understand and reduce their out-of-pocket expenses. Its technology platform connects patients with medical billing experts who analyze bills spotting errors. Employers and organizations such as AARP are partnering with the company to help their members manage medical spending.
