Clear Blue Technologies Inc., a Toronto, ON, Canada-based Smart Off-Grid company, raised $500k in funding.
Backers included existing investors Grenville Strategic Royalties and Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE).
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate market growth of its Smart Off-Grid technology.
Led by John Tuerk, Co-founder, President & CEO, Miriam Tuerk, COO, and Mark Windrim, Co-founder, CTO, Clear Blue provides a system, developed with assistance from Centennial and George Brown Colleges, which features solar and wind power controllers paired with advanced cloud-based software to deliver reliability and control of off-grid solutions such as street lights, security systems, mobile power and signage, electric charging stations and applications.
The company’s Horizon cloud software allows owners to remotely monitor and control their systems over the Internet, change lighting profiles in real time, run diagnostics and optimize power-management.
