Cambrios Technologies Raises $10M Second Funding

CambriosCambrios Technologies Corporation, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of a silver nanowire-based solutions for the transparent conductor markets, raised a $10m in funding.

Samsung Venture Investment Corporation (SVIC) made a follow-on investment.

The company, which had previously received an investment of $5M from SVIC in 2011, intends to use the funds to accelerate growth.

Led by John LeMoncheck, President and CEO, Cambrios Technologies provides innovative solutions using nanotechnology. Its silver nanowire-based transparent conductors aims to simplify electronics manufacturing and improve end-product cost and performance for electronic devices. Its ClearOhm® product is a transparent conductor with higher optical and electrical performance than traditional materials and methods.
Applications include touch screens, EMI shielding, LCDs, ePaper, OLED lighting and thin film photovoltaics.
The company has offices in Japan and Taiwan.
