BalaBit, a Luxembourg-based IT security company, raised an $8m Series A round of funding.
The funds came from London-based C5 Capital.
The company intends to use the funds for the development and expansion (in North America and additional European markets including the UK and Scandinavia) of its IT security platforms.
Led by Zoltán Györkő, CEO and co-founder, BalaBit specializes in advanced monitoring technologies and provides syslog-ng™, an open source log management solution, used by more than a million companies worldwide.
The company has sales offices in France, Germany, Hungary (where it has the main development centers), Russia, in the UK and the United States and partners in 40+ countries.
