StepOne Closes $4M in Series A Funding

steponeStepOne, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based adaptive self-service company, closed $4m in Series A funding.

The round was led by LiveOak Venture Partners with equal participation from Silverton Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to grow the product team, as well as expand sales and marketing efforts.

Founded in 2011 by Alex Mitchell, CEO and co-founder, StepOne provides large companies with a platform to allow their customers to resolve their own problems online by proactively delivering personalized support recommendations based on contextual data.
The company has deployments currently with two global communication service providers, Telstra (Australia’s largest telecomm, a $38B company) and a Tier 1 U.S. cable company.
