Skyscape Cloud Services Receives £4M Investment from Business Growth Fund

Skyscape Cloud Services, a Farnborough, UK-based provider of cloud infrastructure services to the UK public sector, received a £4m investment from Business Growth Fund.

BGF took a minority stake in the business and the investment will be used to accelerate the company’s growth enhancing the capacity of the platform, develop its customer service propositions, and accelerate its offering into healthcare, local government and research/higher education.

Founded in May 2011 by Jeff Thomas (Chairman), Phil Dawson (CEO) and Simon Hansford (CTO), Skyscape focuses on providing cloud services to central government departments, local authorities and independent government organizations. To date, it has supported more than 70 projects, across 38 customer organizations engaging through over 100 partners.

The company, which currently employs 45 people, contracts with public sector organizations, including the Cabinet Office, Home Office, HMRC and MOD.
