Seevibes Closes $1M Seed Funding Round

seevibesSeevibes, a Montreal, Canada-based Social TV audience company that measures and analyzes the world’s global social TV audience, closed a $1m seed round of funding.

The round was led by Polytech Ventures with participation from previous investors Real Ventures and Bryan Freeman. In conjunction with the funding, Laurent Bischof, Partner at Eurofin Ventures and managing director of Polytech Ventures, will join Seevibes’ board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to grow internationally, secure additional media partnerships such as the recently announced deal with Havas Media, and hire new people.

Led by Laurent Maisonnave, founder and CEO, Seevibes provides Broadcasters, agencies and advertisers with ratings for social engagement in TV programs to access data to improve social media campaigns and grow advertising revenue. It analyzes and categorizes billion messages about TV content posted on various social media by viewers and delivers information and marketing tools to media and advertising professionals to better understand and value the engagement of the public.

The company is a graduate of FounderFuel, a Montreal-based startup accelerator, and has offices across North America and Europe (Montreal, Paris and at theEcole Polytechnique Federal in Lausanne).
