Musicraiser, a Milan, Italy-based music crowdfunding platform, raised about €350k in funding.
Backers included b-ventures (Buongiorno SpA), which will accelerate the company within its Parma-based incubator, Giorgio Di Stefano’s Key Capital, and other unnamed private investors participated.
The company intends to use the funds to expand internationally, initially in the UK and USA.
Co-founded in October 2012 by singer Giovanni Gulino and Tania Varuni, Musicraiser is a crowdfunding platform that focuses on music projects. It allows artists and industry professionals to create their own page and raise funds in 21 currencies to finance their project (album, promotional tour, videoclip, gig, festival, dvd, vinyl record or other).
Musicraiser, which has already helped people raise over €1m, has also signed partneships with Spotify and Spreaker.
