London Business Angels and Associates Realize 13X Partial Exit from Brandwatch

LBALondon Business Angels (LBA) investors and its associates, which included a Government backed Seed Fund, realized a partial exit from Brandwatch, a Brighton, UK-based based social media monitoring specialist.

The exit on up to 30% of their initial £500k seed investment at a circa 13x multiple was realized during the $22m Series B round of the company led by new investors Highland Capital Partners with participation from existing investors including Nauta Capital and Gorkana Group (read our news here).

LBA investors and its associates own a significant minority stake in the company, having invested over £500k together during 2006 and 2007.

Led by Giles Palmer, CEO, Brandwatch is a social media monitoring and analytics technology platform that collects millions of online conversations every day and provides clients with the tools to analyze them, to make smarter, data-driven business decisions. It is used by over 1000 brands and agencies, including Whole Foods, Verizon, Pepsico, British Airways and Dell.
