Housekeep.com, a London, UK-based professional home cleaning booking service, closed $1m funding round.
The round was led by Pentland Group, with participation from tech entrepreneurs Brett Akker and Justin Peters, the founders of Streetcar and Kabbee, respectively, John Hewett, the CEO of Smedvig Capital, Dharmash Mistry, non-executive director of Hargreaves Lansdown and Dixons, and Paul Hewett, non-executive director of Tesco Bank.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the business rapidly.
Founded by CEO Avin Rabheru, Housekeep uses technology to make the cleaning booking process simple, by offering online booking, fixed prices and automated payments. The service is personal, with a customer services team tailoring the service to each client during an “on-boarding call”, and delivered by trained, vetted and insured Housekeepers.
