Driftrock, a London, UK-based social ads management platform, closed $1m in seed funding.
The round was led by Forward Partners, with participation from Nick Hynes, CEO of Somo; Neil Hutchinson, Founder of Forward Internet Group; Andy McLoughlin, Huddle Co-Founder, and Jonathan McKay, Chairman at Just Giving and Exony.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop its initial suite of marketing apps – currently including OpenBook and Lead Response – as well as the data platform that powers them.
Led by Matt Wheeler, CEO and Founder, Driftrock provides brands of all sizes with tools and education to deliver the right ad content to highly targeted customers at the right time using social media advertising.
Its OpenBook uses ads analysis techniques to allow marketers to understand which ads are working for campaign optimization. Lead Response leverages Twitter Lead Cards to enable marketers to create instant auto-response emails for Twitter leads facilitating eBook giveaways, coupon campaigns, newsletter subscription or putting people in touch with a sales team.
