Delectable, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of mobile app for consumers to learn about, discover and buy wine, raised $3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Deep Fork Capital, DN Capital and Ceyuan Ventures, with participation from David Sacks, Max Levchin, Joe Lonsdale, and Gary Vaynerchuk.
The company intends to use the funds to grow the engineering team.
Founded in 2011 by CEO Alex Fishman, Delectable provides a mobile app that allows consumers to learn about, discover and buy wine. It has a dataset of over 2m wines to get accurate identification and information on any bottle from a single digital photo, an engaged community, including leading tastemakers and top professionals, offers information and insights on wine and tools to purchase wines directly from the app.
