Beroomers raised €200K in Seed Funding

beroomersBeroomers, a Valencia, Spain-based student accomodation marketplace, raised €200k in seed funding.

Backers included:
François Derbaix (founder of Toprural)
Iker Marcaide (founder of peerTransfer)
Allen Peeters,
Plug and Play (Silicon Valley accelerator program),
Bankinter Capital Riesgo, and
Realiza Business Angels.

The company intends to use the funds to expand nationwide in Spain, continue to develop the platform and add new features.

Co-founded in July 2013 by Sunil Mahtani and Guillermo Ruiz, Beroomers provides students with a platform to find and book university flats or rooms in other cities for a defined period of time. It also provides communication tools for users to share experiences related to their accomodation and know flatmates.

Landlords can upload and list their rooms or flats for free.
