Barburrito, a UK-based Mexican street food chain, raised £3.6m in financing.
Business Growth Fund, which had invested £3.25m in March 2012, re-backed and retained a minority stake in the business. Following the investment, Graham Turner, former CEO of the Tragus Group, joined the board of Barburrito as a Non-Executive Chairman.
The company intends to use the company to continue to expand operations.
Founded in 2005 by Manchester based Morgan Davies and Paul Kilpatrick, Barburrito is a chain of fast-casual Mexican restaurants that offer healthy food to eat in or take away. It operates restaurants and bars nationwide The company employs 200 people nationwide.
